The boys of Gene Haas Tony Stewart Racing had a great weekend at the 2010 Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Tony Stewart finished just shy of Jimmie Johnson, who is on a hot streak of his own, to place 2nd in the race while Ryan Newman put up a 6th place finish.

These two great finishes really put both drivers from Gene Haas Tony Stewart in a good position. Smoke moved up to 9th place to solidify his hold on the Chase. Newman pushed another place closer to making the cut and is now just 15 point shy of the cutoff.

Daytona is up next for the 2nd race of the season over the holiday weekend. We’ll see how Stewart and Newman handle the push into the second half of the season.
