Indianapolis Motor Speedway is such a storied track and the boys of Gene Haas Tony Stewart Racing did a good job this past weekend. Smoke put up another impressive top five finish to retain his solid hold on 9th place while Ryan Newman ran a respectable 17th place finish. Jamie McMurray ended up with the win in a wild race that involved over a dozen lead changes and a few fires as well.

A Look Ahead For Gene Haas Tony Stewart

The next race on the schedule is the season’s second race at Pocono Raceway. Stewart has done very well here in the past few years, with a win, 2nd place finish, and 3rd place finish all within his last 5 starts. Newman also has a solid record on the track, with a 5th place finish last year. Both drivers hope to continue their winning ways in Pennsylvania to climb up the standings.
